Sally is Tristan/Gaspar's spy.
The princess is the ultimate villain, using the high priest as a mediator for her evil plans.
She doesn't want to be the princess, she wants to be Empress, so she is going to eliminate both Gaspar and Claude making them destroy each other.
I would love the princess to be a good person, women power and all of that, but I think that is what the author wants, to show that evil can be in men and women alike, and she looks like that type of person where the end justifies the means. She is doing what she thinks is the best for her country.
Tristan will betray Gaspar the moment he can, then he will go beg Ivonna and he will get a taste of his own medicine. He's so delusional thinking that he is the victim in all of this..
