Its just a story so im cool about it
but its defintly not the same as lucus and athy
Lucus didnt raise athy, they were friends and I think it was more accepted since lucus changed his physical apperance to match athy
I think more people have a problem with this cause the wizard lady is raising tita
and this whole time her main focus has been to raise him to be kind so he doesnt kill her
so it would be hard for people to accept that a mother figure would suddenly change into a lover
so I dont think its quite fair to compare them to lucus and athy when age isnt the main issue, the relationship dynamic is
but I enjoy reading the story and it is hard for me to accept the relationship dynamic but I still want to read to see the progression

But if it because she raised him then stories like How I Became A Duke's Maid should be a problem cause she basically raises him since he was young and later got with him. It shouldn't matter at all that she raise him they are not even related its not like she is his real mom so it should be fine (╯°Д °)╯╧╧

I get what ur saying but Athy was only like 3-4 years older than Lucas and she barely raised him, she just tended to him as a maid. She never taught him morals, never raised him with certain beliefs or encouraged him to live a certain way growing up, just as a parent would teach. The Witch here is old as hell (literally immortal) and he is quite literally a child. She is raising this child as a mother would and is teaching him things that he needs to grow up, for example like how to read and write etc. It is very much the dynamic AND the age here.

Actually she did cause she was the only one who stood by and they is a form of raising a child by helping when they need but I referenced it because just like this story she took on the responsibility of taking care of him and never had the intentions of falling in love with him but he fell in love with her while she is being older and it doesn't matter that she is mortal because anyone she dates(not immortal) she was around when they were babies so I don't get you point

I get what ur saying, regardless both stories are weird for pairing parent figure x child I was just saying how Athy x Lucas was a little different. They are still both inherently similar so yes people should be uncomfortable with both I get that. Anyways I have problems with How I Became A Duke's Maid with the parent figure x child and other things (plot etc) as well so its not like im trying to defend it. Anyways ig anyone can read and enjoy whatever they want so who am I to judge ٩(๑❛ᴗ❛๑)۶

but I think t freaked me out cause it didn't look like she aged at all but the duke went from a literal child into someone taller to her
like I know he was super tiny due to the fact he wasn't fed properly but he looked 4 and she looked 17 (╯°Д °)╯╧╧
like if he looked around the same age as her or vise versa then I think I would be cool and I wished they were more like friends to lovers than parent figure to lovers
I wish their relationship dynamic was more like The lady I served became a young master
cause there the lady had a clear understanding of everything from a young age and her maid warmed up to her over time and they became friends first.
