I definitely can relate to your confusion. There's a lot of things we as readers need to pay attention too and if it's too much, sometimes that makes the story less interesting. But as u can see, Sunny (or is it Young I don't remember) mentioned them being friends since they were young and Young said sth like he'll look after Sunny like an older brother which makes them very very close and why Sunny sometimes refer to him as that. Even their college friend earlier said they were so close as if they were brothers. And as you can see, Young was literally grooming Sunny. He had control over almost everything in Sunny's life. And bc of that, Sunny had said that he didn't know any better and so when Young confessed, he immediately accepted it bc he thought Young knew him best and that it was for the best. I dont think Sunny likes him romantically but when you're being unconsciously groomed for so long, you tend to follow the person bc u think they had ur best interest in mind. Young's secretary even said he was just into a relationship bc he likes the thought of owning/controlling sth. Sunny even thought that he doesn't really love him, just the thought of having/owning someone. That's why Sunny dislikes Young and tried really hard to escape the toxic relationship after realising that. I think it was best if the author can depict how Sunny thought about his past relationship clearer but a big chunk of this story was literally about the realization that he was in love with Taesung all along and that he didn't know better bc Young made it his life mission to own Sunny's heart and soul. He did show how appalled he was when he also realized Young knew that all along but did everything he could to trao Sunny in his own selfishness.

I read this story. I like it but same time I felt something was missing. Teasung's character was really nice honest and sweet... He was really clear abt his feeling... Sunny's character had many flaws but I'm glad his character got developed... In their school time, I clearly understood that he was not confident Child, so he never approached Taesung... He didn't fully understand his feeling towards Taesung, that was also acceptable... I really liked Taesung and sunny's relationship. They brought each other's best self...But I have confusion about Young and sunny's relationship, what was the actual relationship between this two? I couldn't understand it clearly... In intial chapters when Taesung and sunny talked abt dating topic, sunny told he had crush on an older guy but it didn't work out. So I assumed he talked abt jaehoong... He clearly told Taesung he never dated anyone ... As story progressed, we got flash back abt Young and sunny's physical intimacy scene, so that is one time thing or they are in relationship... When Taesung tell sunny he met his ex Lover than sunny told he is not Lover he is friend and brother than how come between them physical intimacy?... Sunny always mentioned Young as a friend, not Lover, when he was with Taesung.. When Sunny met Young and Young took advance step with kiss, he told that we broke up, so don't... Generally break up happens with a person when you are in ralationship with that person. So I'm clearly confuse abt what sunny was thinking abt Young... He clearly didn't have any feeling with that person. If they were in relationship, why sunny never mentioned him as a lover when he talked with Taesung abt dating life? Young clearly had feelings toward sunny and he never saw him like a brother or a friend... When they were going to common friend's wedding, Young suggested Sunny that I'm coming with you as an old brother. Sunny reminded him that in the past also, you always said the same... What is the nature of sunny and Young's relationship? Friends with benefits? When they went to select suit, Young every time took advanced step with physical contact and said I hope Taesung would fullfill your need, I had not clearly fullfilled your need in past. He said that he remembered their old days, how he selected clothes head to toe for sunny... In that perticular scene, Young took advanced step with physical touch but sunny did not strongly retaliate. Sunny never considered Young as an ex-Lover, he always said he was always like a friend or a brother. so I'm really confused abt their relationship... Last thing that clearly gave me impression that Young really knew wht sunny was thinking, even when sunny didn't knew his own feelings.. I have a problem with sunny as he never clearly talked with Taesung abt his past and what was the nature of his relationship with Young. Taesung was little bit insecure abt that. I wish author could have given chapter when they talked abt what sunny actually felt abt his past with Young.
