You don't see much of him for like a solid 100 chapters after this arc (probably more, but I haven't gotten that far yet (also, I'm talking about book chapters, which are about 2 manhwa chapters, so if you want to read the novel, half your chapter count and you should roughly get your place)). He disappears for a while and there are a few hints about what happened to him during that time. All of them point to him having some decently OP powers for when he will eventually make a reappearance. So it doesn't look like he'll forever be in Arthur's shadow.
Frankly though, this is the last arc before the real crap starts to happen, so keep your eyes out for when the real fun begins!
