I see what you mean but the ratio in this world between men and women got really messed up because of that dude. And I guess because everyone wants a son to have some status and magical power they just kidnapped or raped or threaten whatever woman comes their way until they get a boy(Ex: the king has 30 wifes 35~ daughters and only 4 sons) so the population of women is really big. And I guess because of the horrible mindset the parents have the children learn the same mindset. A type of mindset that's been passed out from generations, that became worse as the woman population growth and men became more hungry for magical powers because magical powers are what is at the top of this messed up hierarchy. Without mp they can't even use phones or cars or protect themselves or anything as everything that they have at the moment is development based on mp.
So the ability of women to reproduce isn't that important or thought about in this world because mpowers are at the top and everyone wants sons. Because they are so many in number mans think that it doesn't matter what they do to them because they can always find more women.
Basically ratio between genders- wanting sons - magical powers all go hand in hand to make woman's life's horrible. Also we only see the ones that are slaves but not all of the women are slaves, when they visited the cities you could see that most of the people were woman's just living there life as best as they could. The story puts accent of the worst parts of this world to show how messed up it is but I don't think all women are treated as slaves. They probably not respected at all and maybe hurt quiet a lot but not straight up killed, at least not only they gave birth to a son and it seems that they have to get married as soon as they can so the population never dropped.

historically speaking most kings beside christian ones(and even them had about 3 to 10 mistresses) did have 100 wives not counting the maids or the sex slaves ,kidnapping women was also a common practise to find a wife since most of the people were poor to afford asking for women hand in marriage
in most countries raping and marriage without consent from the wife was very common
most women of that era developed stockholm syndrome because despite the sexual abuse they were feed and cared for to a certain degree and they didn't have to do dangerous jobs focusing on solely caring for their kids which would treat them better than their husband
this decreased value of women was based on reasons as well like the ones we see in this manga because women can get pregnant very easily without consent and they get stuck with the kid of anyone who raped them , while pregnant they can't do any hard job even farming , while pregnant they require twice the amount of food than a normal person,they can't participate in wars,if they aren't pregnant they have a period in which they are very weak and need a good amount of water, in their weakened state they can get raped very easily
basically the mp of our world at that era was strength and women lacked it in every
aspect
and people of that times also wanted sons for that reason as shunning the wife for giving birth for a girl was very common and sometime included killing said baby like what happen in china now (just search for poor chinese families abandoning their daughters just because they wanted sons because china is one of the countries that still value strength over intelligence )
also the common folks didn't marry one girl because they were loyal or anything like that just it's because they can't afford to feed more than one woman and 10 kids at most in their entire life
Yes, I 100% agree with you. Historically speaking there are very similar aspects between sexism in our history and the one in this manhwa. The biggest difference being how the author chose to show mostly the extreme sexism part of the word rather than than expand the general setting. Though I don't think the author had an in-depth vision in their mind of how the word they created would work in the long-term, which is a shame because I would love an actual realistic story where the sexism would still be very present and still a very dangerous casualty (not that sexism isn't still very present and very damaging even in out present sociality) into a modern maybe even futuristic setting with the mix of some unnatural elements. The word created by the author is pretty unrealistic in both how sexism is manifested and how the common folk is presented, no doubt, never said the opposite.
I just suck at expressing myself and I have a rather avoidant personality so I challenge myself to start topics and continue discussions in hopes I both become more confident and learn more about those interesting topics. I wasn't aware but this world sexism is actually very unrealistic towards women in history we have reached some points when the worth of a woman have fallen to its lowest point but it never have reached this low because of one reason reproduction
as women are the vessel that hold the new babies there is a limit to how harsh they can be treated or else future pregnancy would fail or result in both the mother and her kid death not to mention during their pregnancy women can't do any heavy labor
so the ways we have seen how commoners women are treated is very unrealistic because doing heavy labor while being malnourished will make the population number drop very low or go extinct not to mention if women were to do all these things while also taking care of their kids and cooking would result in early death even without pregnancy because of overworking not to mention destroying their mental state to this degree would make them unable to raise their children well which would result in a big drop of people intelligence
