I agree, seme is a fuckin pyscho
and I could easily be wrong...but I think the seme is trying to get the uke to "find himself" again. To stop thinking of himself as worthless, lashing out, cowering, being so careless, and everything else. I'm not saying this is the right way to go about it but making him understand that there is someone out there who cares is maybe step one. Even if it's twisted - the uke will get rescued.
