I think her reaction is a result of her being stuck in the idea of the original story (like a lot of reincarnated MCs in this genre tbh).
All these people were supposed to hate her (as in her unni and the body) because of how she acted and they never really knew about her sickness. And i'm pretty sure she still thinks they are merely tolerating her (or she's distracted by their beauty and isn't really thinking about how her relationship with them changed).
So even though it's obvious that they no longer hate her (and in most cases actually love her) she is still going with the expectation that they will be happy when she is gone and they she is merely enjoying seeing them while they're tolerating her until her "death"
I agree with you, but the point is, she enclosed herself in that belief that unnie was poor, hated soul and is equating herself with the original owner, when she is not, and exactly because she is not, she's not acting the same way, which will not cause the same reactions and feelings in others, and she doesn't seem to understand that, which annoys me.
And yes, it is a really common thing in transmigration/rebirth novel, but it's still so annoying every f time, I can't.
Ps.: Also, yes, Unnie was a poor, hated soul, and she started to hate and oppress because she was hated and oppressed, but I'm not gonna enter in this, because my focus was the MC
Yes, I know, what I'm saying is that she would understand it if she stopped enclosing herself in her beliefs* and start looking around, and trying to put herself in her loved ones' shoes.
* more than belief, is more like she takes for granted that Unnie's future in the original story is gonna befall her, when everything is clearly pointing that no, it's not going to happen.
Look... I like the story and the MC, and find her funny most of the time. But how the fuck can she be such and air head? Does she not understand that even if SHE know everything is gonna be okay, EVERYBODY ELSE DON'T? She keeps being confused about their reactions when a drop of empathy could answer all her questions... It's baffling...
Same with the king. Yes he was and is a shitty father, but he did regret a bit when he realise that the child he abandoned would die and didn't want nothing to do with him even in death. So isn't is feasible that he, regretting as he is, could try to mend their relationship? So why is she surprised and shocked?
Even tho this story is quite funny, it feels like the MC is living enclosed in a wall that she herself built, and is incapable of putter herself in other people's shoes because of it. It'sfrustrates me sometimes.
