from my POV he loved the bro but he started to love now the new "sato" . his love for the bro would have always been shadowed by the death of the sister.the twisn will always be special in his heart but i think its best to start "new", even if all the couples started bad with lies , revenge and dishonest feelings.akira and satoshi "deserve " each other and mby together they r better ppl.mai and misato evne so started with lies too seems for me more liek a couple which might make it , bc the still foudn attachment even after they said the "truth".
I hate how Mei chose satomi instead of satoshi even though the one he really loved is the bro. If he didn't, none of this would've happened :(
