Being locked up by a guy who I spent 10 years trying to get away from would honestly make me consider suicide. Who cares if he's handsome and actually loves the ML?? She hates work and being forcefully married! I would lose my mind!!

I literally said the same thing, suicide be my last option, pick up the butter knife and be like "Don't test me, I clearly don't want to marry you so please let me go!" She has her reasons so you should respect her decisions as someone who loves her and let her go. BTW does the royal family not have any other kids? Like he say he won't have kids with anyone but her right, me being part of the royal family I'd be like "Well we have other kids he doesn't have to be King." Did no one else think that that was an option instead of putting this poor girl through this? The only reason she hugged him is cuz she was happy in that moment besides that she still wants to leave. Also this story would be way better if the prince got disowned and went after her to live a simple life in the country, just saying ┑(￣Д ￣)┍
Exactly like if he really wants be with her just go live in the country side with her instead of keeping her locked up in the palace because you “love” her so much. And yes I wanted to say my last option would be suicide but I don’t want it to be a trigger for anyone. In all honestly I don’t like this story whatsoever it makes my blood boil. But it’s some peoples cup of tea and I won’t judge them for it but the plot is so messed up and I doubt the ML will change anytime soon.
I agree with you so much like all this time the FL wanted to be free of that life and when she finally got the chance some dumbass decided since he “loved” her so much he would keep her locked up in a palace until she loved him back. At that point I wouldn’t even threaten the ML with suicide I wouldn’t just ended it there. And the fact that her “friends” are just telling her to marry him already is disgusting like you just saw your friend cry and you feel no remorse for her?

I see some comments saying that it’s partially the FLs fault for not saying she never wanted to get engaged...like...did y’all not read the first chapter! She basically had a whole monologue about how she always wanted to break off the engagement at a ball in-front of a bunch of people INCLUDING the ML! Did y’all not see the disbelief on the MLs face like he obviously heard her and he’s still persistent. What makes it even worse is that she’s still saying no and he locked her up in the palace and said “sorry” like at that point I would honestly be devastated and wouldn’t know what to do if I was in Letti’s shoes.
