Yeah agree with you mate I dont get why so many criticism here. The student x teacher plot is popular for BL manga and the sensei here did nothing wrong really.

I don't think that the teacher has any ill intent to be called a predator. Besides he was doing his best to control his feelings and he knew that he should become a proper model for the student. Also he wasn't seeing him sexually cuz if he did he would have jump at the opportunity where the student was making a move on him. He likes him that's all and his feelings were requited. We are allowed to like anyone, I think what is not allowed is liking someone with an intention to hurt and assault them sexually. The student also was mature enough to think on his own, he wouldn't have done that if he wasn't. also maturity of a person's thinking cannot be based on age, there are a lot of factors that can affect the person mental maturity. They were also both aware of their own actions and it's consequences. I don't know what other people think about liking someone, but on what I see both characters like each other because they got attracted with each other's personality, liking does not equal to liking or seeing someone sexually.
Lastly I don't see anything wrong with the teacher waiting for him to become legal or waiting for til he was able to graduate highschool. If you truly love or like someone then you are able to wait for them which for me is respectable. The amount of self-control one must put to endure. Also I can see that both of them does not want to push the other to do so something the other is not willing. One best example is the extra on the last chapter. The student could've attack the teacher or the teacher could've have given motives but none of those.
(Forgive me for the improper grammar. Also you can call this justification, I might be bias for some since I'm basing this on what I could see on both characters.)
