I don't think it's about racism tbh. It's probably more like he must adapted to a new place, new system, and be able to reach the expectation from the others. I would have agreed if it wasn't for the "white" comment that seems to be alluding to incoming racism and maybe xenophobia issues in the work space.
+ I think the world needs to fix its toxic competitivity problem. You can be competitive without being an A-hole. It annoys me to see people act like absolute brats and put that on "a competititive spirit".
