So, she's been writing a BDSM blog for a bit and 1) not familiar w/ the behaviour/power structure, 2) the responsibility of being a D (nor her sub aware of his rights as a sub), 3) only has limited/basic knowledge of the vocab (but not put to use, and 4) Haven't even set up a legit contract w/ hard/soft limits and safe word/gestures.
It's a good thing that this is only a piece of fiction, but still KIDDOS DO NOT TAKE THIS AS GOSPEL--THERE ARE A LOT (I MEAN A LOT) OF RULES when you choose this lifestyle. It's not about sex all the time
Just read this. http://www.mangago.zone/read-manga/a_physical_education/ TLDR, porn is porn, don’t hate on irresponsible doms because they’re FICTIONAL, just put yourself in the dom’s shoes and you wouldn’t find her actions so irritating because you’d be the one doing them.
As a domme, I’d much rather be represented as a flawed, morally grey character (eg. Doona, Alex, YeEun) than a blank slate(eg. A bunch of those gentle femdom FLs). I expected the people complaining about the female leads to be subs or switches with the way they hold their standards. My standards are higher for male leads/subs because I find them sexually and romantically desirable as a domme. If a femdom manga was created where the FL is a serial killer or/and rapist, I wouldn’t mind because I’d be seeing the world through her viewpoint.
I don’t read for a handibook on how to do BDSM, those things exist already on the internet. I read to see flawed characters with a sense of depth navigate their relationships with the frequent addition of BDSM.
Okay- so went and read first chapter (A physical education)- yeaaahhh, def non-con but coercion. Not my cup of tea so I will not be reading that one as it has nothing of true substance. Not even close to this story of fumbling BDSM beginnings. AT least here, the FL is stupid by not thinking things thru, that one .......yeah no thanks.
You can be morally grey/not a blank slate while not abusing an already very traumatized person. I don't find that compelling writing.
Like I said, being a dom is exactly why I have high standards for doms. I'm not even a soft/gentle dom, I just have no interest in hurting someone who doesn't want it because that's abuse. I'd much rather they be begging for it. I know way too many people who've been abused under the guise of bdsm to find it appealing.
It pisses me off how irresponsible she is. BDSM is not giving someone carte Blanche to do as they please.
She's domming someone without even knowing what sub drop is?!
And her friend who runs the bdsm shop isn't helping ffs
