I love this story but MAN IS IT GETTING BORING. Like why is so perfect? There is no tension at all. Everything she wants happens.
And the stupid logic of the uncle. Like dude what did the mother even do to ur sister except stay married to her husband. It's ur sister's fault for falling for a married man.
UGHHH IT'S GETTING SO STUPID

Thats not what happened his sister was the first wife. Linden's mom was the mistress/second wife.

But wtf, why did they have to murder her and her daughter- there was no reason to do so. and plus Linden's mom and sister were adorable.

from what i remember, they falsely accused linden's family of a crime. as the two sides battled to save and to kill, in the middle, linden's mother couldnt take the suspense/wait anymore and just jumped off the building they were temporarily imprisoned in, together with his sister. idk if his sister wanted to die too but the mother sure did. and it just so happened that linden saw their death with his own eyes, hence why linden has such great anger towards the queen and uncle. cause in the end, they were the root cause.

people also theorized the mother wasnt right in the head or that she had gone crazy thinking the king abandoned her (?). or that she couldnt take the treatment in prison anymore cause they theorized to have been starved for days (not weeks or months), though not tortured since when the flashback occurred no injuries were seen. and as for the reason why she took her child with her, people think it must be because she didnt want her daughter to go through anymore pain (?) cause they think the mother's thought process was that she didnt want her daughter to go through anymore pain (?)

and by people, i meant the people in the comment section. this was not confirmed in the story

yea tbh in the story it isn't very talked about. Any character that asks about it gets shut down because everyone's angry about it. All the story really depicts is the fact they were accused of something, were imprisonned in a (nice) tower while they investigated the accusation, the mom took her child and jumped off, the prince saw it. It doesn't even say WHY she jumped off. We're supposed to assume why depending on charaters feelings on it which differs from one another.

For my personal opinion, the Childs house just wanted to do a lil petty thing so that she could be imprisoned and the emperor would spend time with his first wife. The emperor didn't love her tho and without the Childs control, the suicide happened. I mean, the Childs house doesn't control the tower. They're royalty for god's sake, If there was any abuse (not drawn) in the tower they could have mentioned it. When the prince was in that tower he could still be visited by Elise.

That part is a main point of the story yet it's very badly written. I hope there's gonna be more details added later cuz for now it doesn't match up.
