Melli, I'm new to this type of manga. Is it usual for writers or translators to call imperial courtiers eunuchs when they aren't? What I mean is, is it a plot device?
I'm guessing most likely he's managed to hide the fact he's not actually an eunuch, I mean it's even explained he won't be able to have offspring to pass on his status so I don't think it's a mistake on the writer/translator's part
An eunuch isnt someone who havent a dick, its someone who was castrated. It was a old comon thing in italy in the past as well. So he HAS his thing and he CAN sleep with woman. He just cant have kids. (￣∇￣")
Yeah, I know. They snipped the tube which connects the hot and cold running water to the faucet. I never assumed he had his testes hacked off. But they don't want the hassle of him redirecting his focus from the emperor to a bunch of kids, and castration was and is considered emasculating.
