Im kinda surprised about all the negative comments
• I guess that wasn’t our average yaoi here, but damn that was refreshing ! A bit messy yet the characters were realistic. Inoue-san is a bit problematic flirting with this young guy yet he doesn’t cross the line and keep rejecting him.
• It could appear he didn’t make sense but.. I mean people in real life are like that too, sometimes our actions are contradictory because our reasons, desires, needs etc are also contradictory..
• I loved the fact that Inoue told Sunao in chapter 5 that it’d be just a painful youth memory for him but himself wouldn’t recover. It makes so much sense that he fears to be in love with such a young man, the age gap is nothing to take lightly and I get why he didn’t want to take the risk to be thrown away.
• I would have accepted it if it ended this way tbh.. The story in itself is good and that end would have been sad but realistic.. letting their almost love story into the fantasy and nostalgia..
• YET I’m happy they meet again when Sunao is finally an adult hahaha first of all it shows how strong his feelings were and also it gets rid of the moral issue that was bothering Inoue.

Im kinda disappointed it stopped there tho I wish we would have AT LEAST a whole chapter about them being a couple (not necessarily about the sex) but to see what is their dynamic now that Sunao is all grown up.

Anyway it sure has its flaws but I was charmed by the story and the slow pace.. the art style was super fine as well..

Thanks for defending the story. I liked it a lot. It feels real, also the way he keeps imagining the older guy while trying to live " normally".. I agree with all you wrote about the ending as well.. this story is def one of the good ones.
