I really related to Toori... That's how my attitude was on my first love, how my concept of love went, and how my first love ended.
Perhaps some people can't appreciate the realism, but you're right. A lot of people in real life never dig up the courage to go after that first love as they should. "Confessions" are astoundingly common in manga, but in my middle school and high school, they never quite happened that way.

I liked them but it really annoyed me when I didn't get to see them together.
i like the fact that they didn't end up together. kamota ran away from his feelings and chose to love and marry someone else, so i didn't really support them that much even though we knew he probably loves torii more. what made me sad is how i really hope torii found someone and be happy, but we didn't get to see that because it just ends there. it drives me crazy. i really wantes to see torii found someone else.
Wow. Am I really the only one who actually LIKED the two extras about first love?
I mean, even if they were sad, I also felt they were rather truthful... Like they could have happened in real life. Not everyone has the courage to confess. Especially if it's to someone of the same gender as they are.
I could go on and on about this, but I won't. I'll just say that the two extras made reading this a whole lot more worth it.
