The story focused too much on their jobs rather than their love life, In the beginning I thought Brandt was going to meet a guy while he was undercover and fall in love but then I found out his love interest was Donnelly and I was waiting for the chemistry but it wasn’t there, we didn’t even see how their relationship evolved from friends to lovers we only saw Donnelly blush a couple of times at Brandt. Nick clearly liked Brandt and even kissed him but nothing else happened and the author just brushed over it like it didn’t happen. Also, you can tell the author doesn’t know much about gay sex lol
