It's the simple face she tried to commit suicide and they found that a nuisance and further punished her by stripping everything away. And you'd have to be blind to not be able to tell she was getting abused.
Also attempted suicide couldn't have been her first cry for help. Also if the maids are bribed who would believe her word everybody against her. They neglected her and let her get abused. And they complicit. They're only starting to care for her because of how useful she is too the family. And that's because it's another person that took over and can cook. Original girl had nothing. I think her family is complete trash and i hope like death is the only end she abandons them all at the end
Not trying to justify the brothers and the grandpa, but the abuse all happened in secret. MC enclosed herself and decided to let the people around her bully her. I mean, even if a maid helped her, they would target the maid and make her life a living hell and MC would have no power to do anything. Remember that the red haired bitch also had everything wrapped around her finger. Again, not to defend anyone, though the family’s actions are justifiable. MC decided to continuously randomly attempt suicide, while the rest of the family disregarded it as petty and ridicule attempts of self-pity (maybe) and therefore a nuisance. So, due to prior events and misunderstandings, MC, the brothers and grandpa are ALL at fault. The only good thing is the transmigration, without that the original body would have suffered ‘till her death. And based on the context and her past, Korean MC would have no reason to pursue a path of vengeance, for it doesn’t reflect her personality and she has never suffered the abuse first-hand...sure she has all the memories, but she isn’t the original owner of the body. She successfully found happiness through love and affection in her life in Korea, it would be out of character for her to rely on revenge. Moreover, she has her own priorities set: cooking, and while doing that she is managing to make the severed relationships better and also doing what she enjoys the most (and also she has her own kitchen and free access to numerous ingredients and tools, while would she ever fuck up such an opportunity?)
Sometimes negligence and indifference are more more cruel than the abuse itself. You said the family doesn't know? Read again when Seniaana asked for the kitchen key and the grandfather scolded the first brother for giving Senianna the key. They knew clearly the red hair mistreated FL, they just don't know the detail. If they just care even a little, they would find out.
Just like Penelope from 'Death is the only ending for the villain' said, if they even pay attention when they eat together, they would notice that her spoon is too small to eat anything. Although the father doesn't know anything about her being framed by the brother and abused by the maid, Penelope still blame him saying 'When I go crazy and lash out you never ask me why I do that, and when you find out about the abuse you never ask even once if I were fine'
Senianna family never visit her when she commit suicide dozen times, they never ask why nor if she was okay at all, instead they hated her more and call her pathetic instead, She is despised by her own family, of course the maid would abuse her even more.
And just take a look at the Grandfather, even after he found out about the abuse, he never feel sorry at all, all he is thinking about is testing the FL if she really is talented.
As I said before, they’re ALL at fault, every single one of them.
Senianna for not being vocal enough and the others for being so distant and neglectful. I never said that they were a perfect happy family and it was simply some family drama and misunderstanding. There’s clearly a reason behind why they are acting like this and that was Senienna herself. Everything changes because MC for the first time stood up for herself and by doing so she stops the vicious cycle. The brothers and grandpa think that she didn’t really change and, following past experiences, she will soon try to kill herself again. Why would Senianna kill herself? It’s cause even if she screams and vents her anger out, no one would help her. And even if they hear her screams they would think of it as a nuisance or some attempt of self pity. Communication works when both party are willing to speak and hear each other out, clearly, in this case neither of them are willing to open up and that deepens the misunderstanding and their shitty relationship.
So you're victim blaming her now? It's her fault she was abused? I can't remember but if she was abused for years now was she to know to fight back? With the family who ignored her? You're asking more from the victim. That's like blaming a child for not speaking up with abusive parenta. What if they didn't believe her and she got beat when harder. You're trying to both sides this
Ah yeah, it's always the FL fault isn't it? Whether she is abused, neglected or cheated by their family or husband, the FL are the one to blame, for being so helpless to defend themselves and causing misunderstanding through harmless means.
Have you ever thought Senianna is the youngest in this family? I'm going to use your words, there is clearly a reason behind why Senianna are acting like this (not vocal enough, not willing to open up) and that was her family themselves.
Did I blame her for everything? No, I said they’re all at fault, not only FL. When you are bullied and abused, it happens a lot that the victim is afraid to speak up and most of the time are those around you who find it out and try to help you out of the situation. But if you never speak for yourself, then things are going to persist. So, sometimes it is better to take the lead.
In this case Senianna has been abused her whole life and as a consequence she has depression and tried to kill herself various time. Suicide was a a way for her to cope and escape her hellish life, and it is understandable, because there was no one that would hear her out. Do the family ever considered her behaviours and suicide attempts as something serious? Never. And that’s why things escalated in this manner.
I don’t deny the neglect. They’re deplorable and If they at least once tried to understand why the youngest member of the family acted in this way, they would have noticed the severity of her abuse years ago. Instead they brushed off all these red flags as nuisance and trivial matters. Senianna would cause some trouble and no one would try to understand the reason why she did it. They believed she was a lost cause, they even said that in the past she tried to change countless times, but always with little success (which is understandable with the lack of support that lead her bottling things up and trying to get away from it by killing herself). How can they trust such an unstable person? For heaven’s sake, the second brother was even convinced that her little sister hated him after she smashed something straight to his head. Why no one ever consider this as a consequence? How would you expect someone to believe you when you throw tantrums, act emotionally and smash your brother’s head with a cup. I’m not blaming her actions, ‘cause it’s normal for children to act this way, but if it persists for a long time even the kindest person would get fed up.
Again, as I always said, I’m not trying to justify the neglect, but it’s obvious that this was a never ending vicious cycle. If they tried to communicate with each other maybe something would have changed or maybe not. There are many Ifs to take into consideration. And the only way out of this cycle, unfortunately, was for her to die. Was it all the family’s fault? Yes. Could Senianna have changed her situation if she approached in a different manner? Also yes. For me both parties were so wrong, just looking at the tip of the iceberg and not past it.
If the communication is the problem like you said, then why is it when the Korean Girl transmigrated into Senianna body and the stepmother feed her rotten food, when she defend herself, she is being vocal enough then, still the family didn't give a fuck. Why is it she need to win a cooking contest first just to ask for the investigation regarding Senianna abuse? Why is it she need to be cute to be loved by the first brother, to know military strategies to win the second brother, to know medical knowledge and became a God of cooking to be accepted by the grandfather? I didn't know you need be an OP character just to be loved by your own blood family.
Why no one ever consider her throwing tantrums, act emotionally and smash thing as a consequence of the neglect and abuse? No one is born as bad child. Rather, the environment of the child was bad. Even their innate tendency was eventually shaped by everything they experience while growing up.
I love the redemption story but if it was executed poorly it only left a bitter taste since it gave off the message of victim blaming, The author in this story just throw another soul into a broken child. The new Senianna who is the very opposite of the OG Senianna, oh she is so cute, smart, talented, bright, cheerful, mature, hardworking, everything OG Senianna was not, then suddenly all the family member who didn't give a damn about her before became so obsessed over her, that just cringe worthy.
Like I said, it was a vicious circle and Senianna had no other way to end it if not with her death. Every time OG Senianna would do something, the family would be like “oh shit, here we go again, the same old nuisance...when will she ever stop acting like a fool?”. But then, suddenly, they are fond with Korean MC and are amazed because her personality completely changed, as if it was someone else. And surprise surprise, she is a different person, but they will never know that. The idea behind it was quite good, though as you said: the author just threw another soul into a broken child (Idk why, but it got me wheezing).
Plz be nice y'all I made the comment for understanding the POV of everyone of y'all.
Like I said I know that the family is in the wrong but at the same time, it can't not get better if the victims doesn't try to reach out for help..
I know that too well.
The only very good person rn in the manhwa is the maid Citron & the Teacher in her past life, because even if the MC rejected them they still persist and ended up winning over her.
Well, the OG princess rejected Citron & seem that she'd never let her help so idk.
But I just can't put all the blame on the grandfather & the brother for neglecting her, because at least they tried.
She rejected them so bad to the point of being aggressive, so they can just be tired to always make the effort of being nice just to receive something in the face.
Ik this is the result of trauma but even the MC said that it isn't the best option & we can't never get better by acting that way.
+ of that the stting is in ancient time & they don't even have the same mother, she is the daughter of a slave & it's still a miracle that they didn't kill her along with her mother or even mistreat her themself.
The person I blame the most is the father, because even if the brothers & the grandpa ignore her, well, she isn't their responsibility right ?
At least it's how it's work on my family so idk
Hey guys, ik that my question may seem dumb for some of y'all but I am genuinely curious..
Like, I read a lot of comment hating on her family and I can't understand why y'all are hating on them so much ?
I can see that some of you not liking them but is all the hate & curse about them necessary ?
I know that they weren't able to take care of her but at the same time, she never talked to them about her issues ?
The timeline & mind of people are different in this world, based of the education they got, the grandpa has to be very strict & the boy & girl can't be really close.
There was this scene where the green haired brother wanted to talk to her and she literally smashed something on him making him bleed,, so it may be understandable if he never tried to get close to her again.
She never tried to defend herself when the stepmother accused her and the grandpa couldn't show favors to her just because she was her granddaughter, people with depression or other mental illness like her may just have been seen as crazy person in this timeline, so it wasn't at her favor either.
And because she didn't explain anything & because all the maids were bribed, there wasn't anyone to talk about the abuse she suffered.
And because she never tried to get close to her family, it wasn't as if they'll try to visit her either..
(Less checking under her clothes.)
It's not to insult the OG her or anything, ofc her family was in the wrong for never checking, but we can't defend all the past action either, they can't magically guess all of that if she never talk about it.
I'm sorry but this is a reality too..
I am going to give 2 examples :
"Death is the only ending for the Villainess" / http://www.mangago.zone/read-manga/death_is_the_only_ending_for_the_villainess/
&
"When the Villainess Love" / http://www.mangago.zone/read-manga/when_the_villainess_loves/
When in the 1st manhwa the OG villainess just wanted to be loved by her family & then they deliberately framed her & letting her be mistreated without saying anything, then yeah I'll understand all the hate & even support it.
But in this manhwa they truly didn't seem to know & were shocked to learn all the shits she has to go thru..
While in the 2nd manhwa, the OG villainess learned that she suffered for an incurable illeness, and rather than searching the pity of other, she decided that she will hide it and live her life fully has a villainess.
And she died like she wanted, thus was the consequences off her actions.
I took this example because the OG princess in this manhwa is kinda acting the same, (I'm not saying that they are the same), I mean, she decide to never talk about the abuses & thought that sucide will be the best option for her, that all..
This is really realistic because most of us in real life may think the same, not trusting the people around us & thinking that dying is the only way to escape.
Well I'm saying all of that but maybe the manhwa isn't that deep & the author has just shitty idea lol.
__
But in conclusion, other than negligence they didn't really did anything to her right ?
The only person I can see to blame is the father that never appear & the red hair bitch that was banished..
And sorry if there is mistakes, english isn't my 1st language and I tried to be careful about my words, my vocabulary is limited so I'm sorry If I seemed rude to some of y'all.
Plz be kind if y'all are responding & give me y'all opinion of why I should hate them.
