It's kinda difficult to separate precisely because the FL's entire identity revolves around the ML. He's a jerk for how he treats her, but her lack of an identity is not his fault. She needs to learn to live for herself, without having him as the motivation for her decisions and actions.
Is it just me who wants to see more of fls problems? We’ve just been constantly dealing with the ml and his issues and it feels like the fl has no role other than to be the mat that he steps all over on...like i know she loves him but it feels like hes just taking her for granted. Also this twin sister thing is so random and weird..what is the point of adding this suddenly? I usually like the mls in this authors works but this time around i think the fl deserves someone better. The ml should sort out his goals and feelings before he decides to start a relationship.
