My thoughts on Chap 68

I think NK and SH are end game. This is a psychological series, but that doesnt mean its always a bad tragic process. I dont recall seeing voice of reason introduced in these types of manhwa/manga’s so often. So, its nice seeing Heena take that role. In past interviews Byeonduck mentions that she likes drawing emotional scenes. To me it seems like the story is headed for self reflection on both NK and SH of their past experiences, remorse/acceptance, and then readjustment (chara development). NK self reflecting on the love for IH vs SH. And SH reflecting on what servant Kim said about how he is like his father (cause we all know SH hates his father ofc he doesnt want to be like him).
Im sure SH heard the whole convo starting either from when Heena was talking in the flashback, or after the flashback.

I don't think it's a psychological series, the tags don't include it. For example killing stalking has the psychological tag in it but this one doesn't.

Just cause it doesnt have the tag doesnt mean it isnt. Ig the more appropriate world world be drama then? I put in psychological because the author does like drawing scenes that expresses emotion which usually follows up with mental questioning,, idk the word its between drama and psychological lolol

I totally agree that it doesn't have to have the tag to be a psychological, but when looking at a lot of manga that are psychological like killing stalking, they have much more horrific undertones. In a way psychological is more like psychological horror which is why I don't think painter of the night is psychological. It doesn't give off scary or horrific vibes (imo) it's just kind of disturbing and that disturbing content is getting really repetitive to the point where the plot itself is not enjoyable anymore.

I wish the author would've gone for the psychological route though. She toned it down so she can please the readers more. Bruu what a pushover,,, I kinda wish she would've gone with what she wanted to write rather than reading all the hate comments to find a middle ground.

I completely agree. Maybe than I wouldn't hate Suengho as much as I do now. What I mean by that is like ig his behaviour would've been more tolerated? if this was psychological but because it's not THAT psychological I just really don't like him nor his character. Like with Sangwoo I don't really like him but do to the nature of that manga the characters behaviours are more tolerable yk? I feel like I would like this manga much more if it went down the psychological path more.
