Being so in love with someone and enjoying every moment you spend with him/her/they, but when you look at it close up, you find out that you were so caught up in the present that you don't know anything from before. I know your partner's past doesn't have to define the relationship, but it's nice to know few things like "This scar was from the time I was trying to cook a cake but ended up hurting myself" or like here in this chapter about him speaking english.
