For some reason in a lot of topics/forums, whenever a girl is acting like this in a BL, it's okay and everyone calls her relatable and funny. But if a dude does it, it's fetishization? Like what he's doing is pretty annoying tbh, but it's just weird to see the double standard

Know a few gay guys that dislike seeing girls go "kyaaaa my homosexual babies! they're so hot". It's fetishization on both ends, kids are just unwilling to apply that standard on both sides. A lot of wlw are uncomfortable seeing dudes fetishize lesbians for the idea of being able to turn them or them fucking to cater to them in a hot way. I know a lot gay dudes who don't like it when there's always a seme and an uke, and the uke is feminine so girls can be treated to two hot dudes fricking while still being able to fantasize about dating the seme.

Obviously, some relationships do fall into the tropes, but it weirds people out when a preteen is asking two grown men who the pitcher is. Weirds me out when a guy asks if my partner and I will do a threesome just bc we have female body parts. In real life, this kind of behavior can come off as gross. But these characters are meant to be self inserts for people who do fetishize these relationships, and the people who relate to these audience projection characters are the ones who will talk about it. Don't know if a lot of dudes read GL, but most of my other female friends read GL, which is why I'm assuming the self insert character isn't vibing with that demographic.

The people who find that weird probably aren't the ones commenting on mangago. The double standard definitely appears depending on which community you're in, because I've hung out with my dude friends and they've definitely liked GL more than BL. Whether people call you out on that stuff depends on if they engage in the same behavior.

its fetishization all the same, and its still the samed level of fucked up when its on bl.. i wish they dropped that trope, it ruins the whole manga for me

i feel theyre are equally bad, it may seem this way on this specific website since it is primarily one that people use to read yaoi. but know that there are many other platforms that disapproves of fetishization of both gay and lesbian relationships
