The old guy who raised her in order to help her take revenge for her dead parents and claims to be her father's friend is actually the main villain. He was the one who murdered her parents to become the head of the gang instead of FLs father. He event assaulted her aloooot , they never slept together but a lot of pervy things were done. ML is the executive for the rival gang in which FL will infiltrate. She will seduce him and he is gonna fall hard for her. Like go real crazy over her. It will be known in the later half that ML is actually a double agent and a police officer. So basically a lot of smut if they go according to the novel. The cruelty of the FLs childhood and what all shit that old man did to her can make u cry. She goes into a stage of depression temporarily when she gets to knows everything but throughout that phase ML kinda supports her!

The old man goes to jain in the end after getting beaten up by both FL and ML. They have a happy ending. And he kinda tortured her when she was young, locked her in a dark room, devoid her if food and water for days in the name of training. Used her body for masturbating and humiliated her a lot of times.
So basically the FL is blinded by her impulsive, irrational and immature revenge that she, from the get go, trusted a very suspicious stranger. Or maybe she's just stupid from the very beginning. If that old man was really her father's friend, then he wouldnt have done all those disgusting things to her. No, a friend would have supported her to live normally, not tell her about the mafia and let her be involved.

My exact thoughts. Even I was uk disgusted/ uncomfortable when they were together doing things, I mean he was teaching but still, he is so older than her and is basically her dad's friend and coworker. So teaching those things to her is suspicious itself, if he was truly her father's friend.

She was just in high school and saw her parents getting murdered. Then came the old man who worked with him father making use of her emotions and anger. So it's understandable. And he told her that it was the rival gang leader (she didn't know her dad was in mafia) so she was pretty vulnerable at that point without any direction.
