I don’t think he’s really being toxic, like I think in the contrary he’s giving the guy more freedom than most powerful seme’s we’ve seen. He isn’t implicating himself in the drama in a way that will hinder the MC’s newly found sense of freedom and he’s not forcefully making him stay by his side for “protection” or manipulate him into agreeing that he is happy with him. The only issue I would have is if he doesn’t help him in time and MC gets hurt and he doesn’t feel guilty or bad about it Like I’d be pissed
But letting the MC have full control and taking control damage control is better than the usual “Uke in distress and powerful Seme” trope i think even though this is strangely based on similar plot with its own completely different twist
finally someone said it o(* ̄▽ ̄*)ブ I also have the same thoughts 'cause Tae-sung (uhhh how to explain this?) like... doesn't make the uke feel so fragile? I mean, I would hate it if someone sees me as a pitiful fragile girl and such so I don't hate the seme so much (but just a bit hehe)
I'd like to add that this shows how TS is so different from SY's "ex". His "ex" would force SY to do things that he himself thinks is best for him whereas TS gives him freedom to make his own choice
