As for act III, depends on author, he was planning to stop drawing after first season, leaving all of us with furuya as ace but since this manga quite famous in japan, he keep drawing. And we got to see sawamura as ace.
But we got to see alot of foreshadowing like American baseball team, new player from other school, maybe he will go for act III?

If they lose it can lead into Act III but if they win idk where the story would go from there. I agree that the story centers around Sawamura and his journey of improving to becoming ace and going to nationals but now that he already has that and so many characters are leaving again after this act idk what the goal for act III will be. I guess it could be to win nationals if they lost. It be nice if there was an act III but I could also see terajima writing an epilogue for all the characters at the end of this and calling it a day lmao.
Bc the story is centered with sawamura, there's chance the author write the story for sawamura as the third years too? And even maybe going pro too, honestly the story can always continue

imo seidou wall is forever inajitsu. miyuki vs mei. after they beat them i still think there are higher chance to continue if they lost on nationals say on finals? why did i say this? cuz they build up the first year soo much. especially okumura. just like coach said as long as miyuki exist okumura cant play as catcher. the fact that okumura x sawamura battery had a sneak peek on practice match and delivered big time, i think it will be a new selling point of the manga since we got 2 pair at seidou for the battery
I hope so too, but I'm kinda scared if mangaka gonna treat like eijun isn't protagonist, but furuya is. I don't know which one is tortures, not be able to read more, or have to read where eijun is useless, like before. Hahaha.

Back then it was something like, as long as furuya exist eijun won't be the ace, now is okumura and miyuki. But seeing how eijun manage to become an ace i guess anything is possible enough
thats because the author got backlash after dna book 1 ended... the book 2 exist cuz of the pressure of the reader who felt like sawamura got the end of short stick throught out book 1 and publisher always sided with the reader.. hence book 2 happen with sawamura glow up
From an interview TJ said he was going to stop at Act I but continued bc of sales and ofc fan opinion lmao so there’s always a possibility. But Act II is wrapping up what Act I was aiming for; beating Mei, going to nationals, Sawamura becoming ace. Now that all of these goals have been accomplished idk what Act III will mainly focus on, maybe competing at nationals with Hongou, he is a second year and the raining champion after all
Unrelated to the newest chapter lol but do y’all think we’ll get a nationals arc (unless they lose smh) or do you think the author will end the series after the tournament is over? The series is pretty popular in Japan so I don’t see why the author wouldn’t make an Act III lol.
