Well, many blondes look pretty similar to each other although they're not related It actually contributes to the plot in early chapters and at least to me, I like the contrast of their similar looks and clashing values and backgrounds. It highlights their differences in another way, also I somehow feel like women's appearance becomes linked to how people perceive her personality, or how one hair colour is better than the other. Here we can't because they look so similar. In addition, I can see how their similar looks can motivate Mielle's hate even more, with fear of being compared or mixed up with someone she perceives as inferior.

That’s a lovely way to put it and to perceive how their similarities also sets their differences. After the first couple of chaps, I also got to see the relevance of their similar looks to the story. Also, very irrelevant addition but Mielle has a slightly different kinda yellow in the hair or am I just tripping out? Kekeke. Anyhow, Aria is a queen and Mielle could neverヾ(❀╹◡╹)ﾉ~
