Fully agree w/ you on this. There’s always going to be elements of ‘sexual fantasies’ in both mangas and manhwas. Be it ‘rape fantasy’ or ‘dominant-submissive’. It’s like a known thing. Sure we do have progressive, diverse and uplifting stories sprinkled here and there there but majority yaois are always built from some form of fetishisation.

It’s not a fluffy sweet story. It never was. Why we act like we been blindsided by the author wherein we’re literally in chapter587653 and the premise is still the same: It’s always just going to be about some sort of conflict and then ends with rough sex.
This is not the story we go to if we’re in the mood for cute romantic stuff.
It’s like ordering mcdonalds but you’re vegan. You’re ordering the big crazy size burger just to post about it in twitter and rant about how unethical and unhealthy the burger is. What is the sense there.
And without those factors in the stories, they’ll probably find it boring like honey, how you expect a story to be good without these types of toxic events??? The couples themselves will grow with these events and will learn from it.
