So something I look for in every manga I read that has a female lead is a character who is strongly developed. I don't mean she's can beat up everyone in sight, but she's smart, independent and knows whats goals she has in life. She can still fall in love and be saved by the boy, but I prefer it if she's the type who saves herself.
You may feel your favorite manga should be gathered together into distinct categories for your own reference and, now, you can do this with a LIST. After you've created your list or lists, you can proudly recommend them to other manga fans to showcase and share your taste in manga.
I suggest Red lion, Absolute witch, Himegimi to Sanbiki no Kemono, Crash, and I think someone already mentioned Saver.. I think I'll also recommend Legend of Nereid :)

I really like your list, found some very interesting new manga through it. Try out Cat's street and High School Debut ^^ they are really good, and, btw, I also have a list with strong female leads if you are searching for some new manga ;)
I think I've read High School Debut a long time ago, I'll have to check it out again! :) But I don't recognize Cat's Street, I'll be sure to look them both over! Thanks!
Have you read Ghost Hunt series and Shinrei Tantei Yakumo series? I think in both of them (which ever version you read) female leads are strong in their own way. I tried to find them in the list.. Sorry if I missed them. ^^'
Also.. Check Kieli if you're interested/haven't done so.. I'm not sure where does she count in. Manga cuts a bit short what is a shame.
I haven't actually read those yet, though I've got them both on my Reading list! LoL I've seen the anime for Ghost Hunt and I have to agree if she's like the anime then manga Mei will definitely end up on the list!
