I love this series, however my review is really biased because the novel is my favorite book. The manhua is still really good and gives you visual imagery of the events and characters, but I implore you, read the novel! The novel is an absolute masterpiece that is so much more than just a yaoi and tells a beautiful historical-fantasy story that’s not just black and white.

This manhwa is totally worth the read! It has an interesting plot that makes it stand out from other stories, and the story in general it just warmed my heart. Reading it was an emotional roller coaster though, as there were cute, dramatic, and light-hearted parts. The story didn’t drag on and ended with a perfect conclusion to everything.
