HFT/VR is easily hands down one of the few mainstream webtoons that I can confidently say is engaging throughout the entirety of its course. You fall in love with Hobin and he’s genuinely relatable as a protag.. in every way possible! The journey with his new found friend group is endearing and tear jerking at times, and even makes you somewhat sympathize with the antagonists as well. Overall, a solid 110/10 + Taehoon points bc my god is that man hot for no reason..
05/19/22- Straight up, this webtoon is so good.. I genuinely forget it is one because the regular romance webtoons just don’t compare to the level of quality that Unripe Apple has tbh! Soonki is a fantastic author, and you can tell she really went in-depth with the story, character building, and the artwork is simplistic but is so beautiful. If anything, the art speaks for itself a lot of the times; it shows within her work. I’m a sucker for an enemies to lover trope myself! Highly r
Easily of the BLs that I can recommend to almost ANYONE!! I could go on hour rants about this comic, but it’s one of the very few that doesn’t pander heavily to the fetishization of most BL mangas that I’ve read for over a decade now. And it’s honestly SOO REFRESHING! The main leads are fantastic and feel very fully dimensional, and the drama is escalated in a very promising way most of the time. In the beginning it’s very reliant on the the humor, but in a very uni
OKAY so far this read has grown on me soo much and the cast is spectacular imo!! It’s much a must read.. everything is straightforward and the plot twists are well done in a way where it doesn’t come off cliche in the SLIGHTEST. Really refreshing after reading a ton of subpar webtoons in the recent past years, the protagonist is likeable and overall easy to follow along with :)
Overall this is a nice approach to the whole reincarnation genre, which was well needed! I adore Penelope, and how her relationship with her and the rest of the cast flourish, especially with the duke. It definitely has a nice balance between being lighthearted and a bit serious. And I also like that they don’t shy away from sexual tension..which most webtoons avoid weirdly enough. They’re both realistic, although I did get annoyed at the duke here and there but he grows overtime;A+
I don’t want to spoil too much, but if you’re more into a psychotic drama; this is probably a good rec to grab off the shelf imo. The protagonist is generally relatable with her struggles and even the issues she deals with feel very real and inescapable at times, but you’re always finding a way to root for the characters to get their happy ending (well.. maybe not everyone for obvious reasons..) but the ending is INCREDIBLY well wrapped up as a nice little package, & is sat
Overall it’s a good read, very progressive about feminist views back in a time period of severe gender inequality, and attempting to change the status quo of the new world she’s been sent to. Some of the drama does get a bit nit picky but in the grand scheme of things it’s not tht bad (but could be better approached if tht makes sense). The only things I’m not into the the main ML .. if you’re not into MLs who don’t have a sense of self/personality then ..
An okay read. I love the art, but admittedly so, some of the plot points do drag out and you feel like the main character is just a bland self insert if I’m going to be honest :/ Not bad, but not something I would recommend to a friend either. Just mediocre overall
