Egoist Men Suffer

I said I was waiting for more chapters but I lied. The Duke's tears is so quenching. Love his suffering. Even after feeling regretful for shamelessly neglecting her, he still dares to dwell on how HE feels. The egoist feels her absence the most yet would never think to apologize, only thinking of what would make himself feel better.

MC is done with the hero's free-spirited womanizer atitude and hates her life of constantly being a "damsel in distress" for him to save. He gets depressed when she breaks up with him, even though he's been constantly entertaining the affections of other women.

Her family (father and brothers) have neglected her. She moves out of that house and one of them is so prideful that he thinks she's going to leap for joy when he sends her one measly letter, thinking that she'd be eager for that that her family has given her a little bit of attention.
