Strong female leads! Can be physically or mentally. Maybe she's a good fighter, intelligent, persevering, analytical you name it! I want to be able to connect to her and respect her.
So tired of the normal shoujo troupe where the mc is just an air headed, naive idiot. Or a crybaby. Or just doesn't have any depth at all.
Shounen can sometimes have some girls who are good at fighting but then they are sexualised to the point of disrespect and have no personality.
This FL is SO GOOD! She's strong, intelligent and reflective without feeling like a Mary Sue. The ML is also fantastic. The girl also has a slightly darker skin tone which is very rare! The story is full of other strong women too. The story actually treats some gender equality aspects as well. Like the need for women to be pretty and for women to give up everything once they get married. I love how the main characters notice and reflect on it.
