3.5/5 fluffy. this is the definition of healthy relationships and good pacing. it can get a little boring sometimes but it's fluffy so it doesn't feel like a chore to read. an amazing starter if you're new to the genre!
4.5/5 SO GOOD. i feel like this one's more friendship-based. the feelings are there tho so it's just a slow SLOW burn. long but worth reading you can't get tired of it.

it was a little bit confusing for me since i'm not used to reading historical bls but i think i'm somewhat starting to catch up
edit: so i read the novel for this one and wow, now i'm obsessed guys you should definitely read it omg it's wow just wow and yeah xie lian is obviously the prettiest

I recommend adding this! “Star and Hedgehog” It’s really cute and consensual. It subtly touches on the concept that consent can be revoked at any time and doesn’t need to explained or make apologies for. The seme handled it very well which was so refreshing! No gaslighting, pressuring or trying to convince the uke to go through with it! He just stops and treats the uke the same loving way!!! So gooood. (▰˘◡˘▰)
