These stories share some common characteristics that I enjoy. I can feel the love between the two people but they usually have a rocky road to romance. Not something I would like in real life but the hard earned love and love that survives trials and tribulations makes a good story. They have strong and mostly manly characters who love and desire each other strongly. They are usually multi volume stories, have strong, sometimes reluctant ukes and semes who love them a lot.
