This is an incredible story. It covers real mental health issues. It does address them in various ways. It deals with homophobia, depression, and class issues amongst other things. The characters take time to develop but that time is important. The main character gets called annoying or isn't liked by several people in reviews but many of these people don't seem to understand that it is mental health struggles. Perhaps bc it doesn't treat mental health issues and trauma like a one and done.
