The only true badass heroine out of everything I've ever read, period.
Medea is strategic like Lelouch from Code Geass, but she's also a very strong swordsman. She doesn't need to be rescued, and she's the one who's plotting out everything as she wishes.
The secondary female lead is not too shabby either, and shows growth.
Highly recommend.
A heroine who uses her wits and her ability to turn back time strategically. Although not physically strong, she has shown she is the definitely most intelligent character in the story. Doesn't need to be rescued like a damsel, unless she acts like one on purpose.
Love relationship is slow and she doesn't prioritize love over everything, which I admire in a female character.
Badass female cultivator who at first seems unstoppable due to her game hacks, but experiences a fall from grace where everyone turns against her.
She claws her way back up again to stand at the top and get revenge.
Lacks true intelligence, but is sly and tricky, which can be funny.
A cruel, quick-witted girl, who resorts to despicable underhanded methods at times to turn the tables on her enemies. Not completely unlikeable, but she's not exactly challenged by anyone, so this lacks some realism.
Her fiancé is the most favored prince in the country, and he adores her and supports her blindly, which I find to be weak characterization.
Otherwise, still an entertaining read, but only if you can stomach things like murder, incest, attempted rape, etc.
This webtoon was truly brilliant from the beginning to the Sand Desert arc, but after that, it basically went downhill. Current arc features cultivation, and is no different from the other cultivation manhua out there. Main character seems to have forgotten her purpose and identity.
In the beginning, female lead is intelligent and resourceful, getting the trash men to fall for her and bend them to her will, even though she doesn't love any of them.
A female who can cook as well as she can fight. She used to be a top assassin, but was isekai'd to ancient China, where she's an Empress and a mother of a young prince.
She shows emotional connections with the other characters, and rarely needs to be saved like a useless weak maiden.
Strong, but not exactly as intelligent as other female leads on this list.
Not too many chapters out in English, but the female lead is the first and only female emperor of this fictional China setting. She has a male harem which is full of possible enemies, but she seems to be ready to deal with any obstacles in her path.
She is reserved, but not utterly emotionless. She is strong, but also uses her wits to solve problems.
This is the only story that I've read so far which portrays a young girl as resourceful and mature for her age. She seems to be less than ten years old, yet is wise beyond her years, and she's not one of those isekai'd-and-retained-her-past-life's-memories type of heroine either, which makes her even more remarkable.
Unfortunately, very few chapters are translated into English so far, but what's shown here is very promising.
