If you love a romance between badasses while they bring the world to its knees, then this is your story. Not to mention ironic shoujo-like romantic scenes drenched in blood. One of the best, longest, and most complete on this list. It is now complete!
*warning* major drama ahead, BUT IT IS TOTALLY WORTH IT. This little girl has had a rough life but seeing her fight for a better future makes the heart happy. If you want to cheer on a precious protagonist and feel satisfied as she crushes her enemies then this is the story for you. It isn't anywhere near done, but it is getting good.

Neat twist. The villainess doesn't just get replaced by a transmigrated person, she lives a modern life before reincarnating in to her younger self. Major redemption vibe. Also a bit of alternative history in there with a hint of magic! (History buffs will love all the little details hinting at real events!!)

I'm not entirely sure why, but the story draws you in and despite it being dark at times, you can't help but hope for the best.
The only reason this is not #1 is because the manga is barely started. I read the first chapters here and then went looking for the novel. The novel is one of the best out there. It falls into the reincarnation to younger self category but it goes way beyond that. The romance is stunning, the sex scenes are vivid (but good), the drama is appropriate and it doesn't torture the reader with too much suspense. I look forward to the manga, but it has a lot to live up to.
