The plot is the typical ‘the “originally from the bottom”’s rise to the top’. For me, even if is a cliché plot, the execution of it really dismisses that stereotypical feel. The author’s added their own flair to the story line, specifically the characterisation & art style. The story arcs are especially interesting, because yes we do get to see more of the MC powers, but also understand these other characters and their personas.
I love this because it makes us contemplate on the human psyche. From the change of innocence shown in Skylar’s character throughout to his change of atmosphere and treatment of Yeonduk. This story is quite deep in terms of the human mind, we are simple creatures. Yet in our minds, it’s difficult to comprehend because of subjectivity.
