Note: As I said in the list's description, I prefer action-packed stories (especially those intense ones that give off that enticing dangerous vibe) and stories where the characters' work is a predominant compontent, meaning the effectively mafia/police-themed ones, which let us "explore" the yakuza world and the law enforcement's working life, rather than the ones where the MC just happens to be a yakuza or detective, without a proper background. Nevertheless, I'll include a few that, in spite of not having much/any action going on or a deep background, are still good stories and I like them.
I love the ones set in America or China.
