I really love this list, it's full of gems, some known, other not so much. I love the number of older less popular ones, they can be hard to find. I totally agree with Red River. I love that one to bits. I would own it if I could.
If it's not too forward of me, there are some more I recommend. To my knowledge they're all on mangago, I can provide links if you need them. If nothing else you should at least give Vampire game a shot. It's not one to sneeze at.

4. Blood+ (both main protag and antag are some serious kick butt women, even the side women are good, oddly enough I actually recommend the anime over the manga, it's much better)

For this story...i think it fit well. Leslie surely strong enough. She emotionally strong. If I were in her place, impossible for me to survive or rather I will only give up but she..eventhough still a kid, she struggle to live to get out from sperado family. I envy her strength in that. Well it normal to cry because cry will make her stronger. Because it weird if people does not cry at all. To be strong all the time are bored ^^

Btw, just a small detail, but altho the cover is like this, the FMC doesn't look like this haha. I think it represents the FMC's inner self as she's pretty much devilish in many ways (but that what makes her lovely ⁄(⁄ ⁄·⁄ω⁄·⁄ ⁄)⁄ )
