Are they better than the main couple?: I think they are on about equal footing but they are still a treat for the side couple enthusiasts out there. Oh and there's a yuri side couple but they aren't developed much because this is a BL but I appreciate the novelty of it
Is the side couple GOATed?: Hyungjae is my favorite BL relationship of all time BUT they are quite divisive because they are #toxica. Still I don't think there is a better written codependent yaoi situationship that need to break up for their own sanity anywhere else
Are they better than the main couple?: No. I think the heart and soul of PhrP is Doori Lee and the Noah Choi that's kind of there next to him so: objectively in the context of the manhwa, no, but in my heart, yes

Is it better than the main couple: Like a lot of side couples tend to be, it offers an edgy, messy counterpart to the fluff of the main couple. I don't think one is particularly superior to the other
