Story is cliché (which I would normally give a chance) but the execution on this one is bad. The outcomes of scenarios are predictable. Pacing is a bit too fast. Personalities of FL & other supporting characters are generic, making them bland. Translations are off.
I read the novel of this. This one's good It's more than just fluffly, childcare moments. FL is clever. The 1st main villain is clever. Upon reading the latest chapter of the novel, ML was suspicious. This story will make you feel a lot of things. I recommend reading the novel. I recon it has 100+ translated chapters available.
The FL is kind, has courage & smart. She was so pitiful in the beginning I legit cried. But I'm happy that she's finally experiencing the warmth that she longed for. The imperial family members care for each other for a change. They're not the kind that are out for each others' necks.
The story is healing. There's not too much conflict not until c30, which is the latest update as of the moment. And it ended with a cliffhanger damn it
FL is strong-willed & makes good use of the stuff she learned about physiognomy to turn crisis into a blessing. Physiognomy is interesting. I learned something new.
Some commented that FL is similar to Penelope & said that family set-up and the story are similar too. Yes, there are a few similarities but the scenarios are still different. They make it seem like this is a complete copy without even giving it a chance to marinate more. There are only 30+ chapters available geez
This one's a bit...incomprehensible. Like, the start was good and it had potential but that potential quickly went down the drain
