The books in this list, all have some dark aspects to them; be it a character having gone through some trauma in the past or the present, a character suffering from inner turmoil due to a predicament they are in/their circumstances due to what they are and feel like, or just that something dark, upsetting or messed up happens, but not to the extent that it can be considered a tragedy.
*The list includes both smut and non-smut. I will not be adding books with unhappy endings to this list.
