Straight romance that calms me down after seeing how awful human being can get

I am a person who gets anxious and sad seeing bad (uncomfortable) people (relationships) in life and in stories, so most of the time i find it too hard to read stories which are too romantic, where characters are too dependent on each other, too dramatic, etc. Romance that seems like friendship, where characters talk as fully independent adults, and their relationship does not evolve only around sex calms me down and restores a little bit of fait in the humanity.
