The standout factor for any manga I add to this list is strong, well-written characters.
Surface-level romance and surface-level side characters are the main things that put me off from mangas. I want to see genuine care and thought poured into the characters and their world.
I love watching them stumble into adulthood, with all its messiness and beauty. It’s a surprisingly fun read so far, with a light, subtle atmosphere and humor that keeps it engaging. That said, I’m kinda bummed about the love triangle. it feels unnecessary (though most love triangles are unnecessary to me)

so good It nails the coming-of-age, slow burn, romance, and comedy genres. The story follows two best friends slowly discovering what they mean to each other. It’s bittersweet, they navigate “growing pains” like peer pressure and jealousy during college and then some. A lot of problems could have been solved with better communication, and if that’s a pet peeve for you in romance, skip this one. It made me cry out of frustration, just wanting them together. it hurt but
