The very beginning chapter starts out like the typical isekai manhwa does, but after that the plot is amazing. It's a historical setting that involves keeping the people safe by warding off the monsters/unique opponents that keep trying to come their way. The action scenes are drawn very well (and you can actually tell what's happening in them lol), and the artstyle is consistent. I wish they dug into character development a teeny-bit more, but other than that, no complaints.

I honestly have zero idea as to why the Shounen Ai tag exists— the two male leads are more or less just friends, but this was still enjoyable nevertheless. This was definitely one one my favorite artstyles by far (I liked it way more in the beginning; it felt more detailed and sophisticated, in a way) when it comes to manhwa, though. It's fairly short compared to other manhwa's, but I honestly think it suits this plotline.

The fact that this is the reality for many teens is very unfortunate. The ending for the protagonist is probably the reality for multiple people, which sadly makes it realistic. The experiences the main character went through made me uncomfortable, but at the same time caused him to be well-written because of the way he tried handling things exactly how someone his age would. His relationships between the other major characters were very important and I wish I could've seen more.

I felt like I was on something while reading this. It's good. That's what I'm trying to say.

I didn't really think I'd add romance onto my list, but I really love the dynamic between these two characters. They're very lovey-dovey with each other in a HEALTHY way (unlike others...) and respect each other's boundaries. I'm glad they got their happy ending.
