— ml understands consent to the max lol, the misunderstandings get cleared up fairly quick and ml and fl are very loving. fl's ex-husband is awful tho, like straight up trash human being, he wonders why she doesn't like him when he didn't even show up to their own wedding.
— fl isn't interested in ml romantically for a while and even when she asks for the two to be just friends ml despite crushing super hard accepts and sets up boundaries between them which is very rare and nice to see.
— the greenest of green flags, despite being in such an awkward situation ml is understanding of fl and insanely protective and loving.
— fl helped ml better himself when no one else would even bat an eye at him so he sees fl as his savior in a way, even when fl doubts herself he assures her that she's the only one for him, he's insanely loyal basically.
— despite the huge misunderstandings at the beginning between them ml and fl communicate with one another and fl doesn't a whole 180 once he realizes his feelings for fl, trust me it starts bad but he's genuinely a nice and caring guy and his actions at the beginning are super understandable given the situation.
— thank goodness around all those trash og male leads that there's someone as understanding and kind as ml, without saying any spoilers he basically makes a huge act of selflessness for fl and their ending together is so romantic.
— ml tries his best to give fl a home and place where she can finally feel safe, loved and comfortable, he genuinely finds himself caring for fl and works hard to get her to open up to having a safe place.
— at the beginning fl takes good care of ml and treats him a bit to much like a child, however ml plans to grow into someone strong enough to take proper care of fl himself.
— ml doubts fls intentions when they first meet but very quickly he softens up to her and develops romantic feelings, when fl finally thinks they should depart he decides he'll do whatever he can to keep her safe and alive.
