The author does an amazing job with body horror! Somewhat reminds me of the second season of the TV adaption of "Home Sweet Home" because the MC separates from the group and believes that he's a monster. Many of the comments about the FL are weird because they seem to think she's useless when she actually hasn't been given the chance to help the MC in the way people would expect her to. She's a good character IMO.
