honestly. i kinda think this is one of those plots that make less sense with the romance? like idk. typically very obsessive people piss me tf off, but MC's pretty strong-willed and cautious behaviorisms + his lack of blushiness and pretty stone-faced attitude kinda balances it out. their dynamic is also consensual, so not just one-sided possessiveness ig? but i still reread this plot to this day, so there has to be SMTH about this that drags me in like the HOLD these characters have on me,,,
uh. ngl i only ever read up to ch77 and i have no desire to finish this, but i WILL reread up to that chapter OVER AND OVER AGAIN. like idk? i think for one the plot relying on not just the romance and endgame of the two but also other components (mystery, etc) makes things super interesting, but also i think the MCs are super funny. like i love raeliana and her dynamic with the ML. and i actually REALLY like the ML, he's kinda funny.
if i don't like the FL, i will NOT like the story regardless of how good it is; she always make or break the plot for me. but this one THE ML IS THE ONE IM SCREAMING OVER. like legit losing my shit over him and his family like he's such a NORMAL dude. not obsessive, socially awkward in a deformed way, and does not require a form of therapy via me emptying a nailgun to his frontal lobe. he's also super cute (personality wise) and very endearing like aweeee he's so cute.
it's like. unfair because this is TOTALLY not a romance plot but just like su luxia cheatcodes her way through bullshit scenarios, imma cheatcode her way through here by loopholing this plot's insane use of romance as a plot device to put it on this list. like. this is so shitty but i devour this shit SO good like a 5 star buffet like scrumpty dumpity mmm mmm mmmmm u know
no im so invested. i kinda wanna punch every character at least once in the head with the force of four consecutive molar extractions, but still like everyone gets on ur nerves at least once amirite
(61) this is like brainless escapism but i'm super invested in this??? like?? the romance itself kinda doesn't make sense to me but weirdly enough they're cute enough for me to be like,,, rooting for them? and i actually really like MC despite her being kinda the stereotypical 'not like other girls' but it's fine bc the author takes time to flesh out the circumstances of every other girl, including the antagonist. like the antagonist + MC's relationship is SO good, esp in later chapters.
honestly. i think i'm just way more invested in the world building that feels like the start of a studio ghibli movie rather than the actual romance. but their dynamic is cool, too. it's like 2 intellectuals with very strong opinions duking it out, except that is quite literally not at all what's happening right now.
