MC takes care of her little sister to prevent the destruction of her kingdom. Action starts immediately, super cute sister-sister relationship, and it has been pretty well-paced so far.
Excellent historical plot line that follows MC as her relationship with the ML deteriorates after his illegitimate son with his former lover appears and she eventually leaves him to live a good life. Contains: strong female lead, repentant and loyal ML, strong supporting characters, and political intrigue. Also on my re-read list
MC is living an idyllic life when her family adopts a saintess-type. The saintess takes in a cleric who ends up being evil and slaughters their family. Saintess saves MC and MC’s nephew. Fast forward and MC finds out that she is someone that dies in a book, and sets to change her life by using powers she gained from when saintess saved her life.
MC is a talented mage abused by her family. She finds out she only has three months to live, so she abandons them and goes out to live her best life. It’s real light-hearted, with dark elements. I imagine it’s probably going to be darker in the future. Super fun read!
MC is the 8th princess and spends her life hiding to avoid succession battles. Her country is invaded and the royal heirs scatter in an attempt to keep alive. MC gets caught and as she thinks she is about to die gets turned into a falcon. She spends the rest of her time helping with the loyalist war efforts spearheaded by her sister’s fiancé. She eventually turns human! This is super cute!
It has a pretty moderate pace. MC is the powerless princess that resents her brother, the crown prince and later emperor. She marries her first love, but he never loves her, and was in fact using her because he needs to be close to her brother. She goes crazy after killing brother, becomes a tyrant, and kills her husband’s gf. Her husband kills himself, causing her to enter a deep depression. Eventually she is killed and is reincarnated. This time she is determined to be good.
Pretty classic trope- MC is - cold-blooded knight, but is betrayed and dies after serving the emperor. When she is reincarnated five years into the past she decides to live a better life. She makes friends, and her enemy from the previous life becomes her love interest. In order to prevent the future from what she saw before, she works with the LI and his allies to overthrow the emperor
WHAT CAN I SAY EXCEPT THIS IS PERFECTION. MC loses her position and is married off to an idiot puppet emperor and instead of falling for him like the trope, she cleans up the empire and hopefully ends up with the duke! She’s not plagued with weak whininess, but that doesn’t mean she isn’t struggling. She has several moments where she wants to breakdown, but she works through it to be as sharp as possible.
This is just historical, not fantasy. A drama where a servant and the neglected mistress are childhood friends that fall in love! It’s very very good!
